"This music video was uploaded on April 15th this year. I feel like DrxQuinnx has been releasing more music than usual lately, and I have a feeling that he’s gonna continue dropping even more throughout the year. I have to be completely honest; out of all the solo songs I’ve covered from him so far, I think this one right here might be my favorite. The beat is more straightforward than that of a song like Gorgeous for example. However, the loop itself is just so fire that it works to its benefit. The drum pattern is also really nice. I love this beat. I think this is my favorite beat that I’ve heard from DrxQuinnx honestly. His verse over it is great too. As always, his flow and vocal delivery just sound really great. His voice is really expressive on this joint. I almost kinda got slight ZelooperZ vibes from the way he delivered certain lines, but it’s nowhere near as over the top and difficult to take seriously. My favorite line was probably that one about how his bed of nails is more comfortable than any mattress. That was hard. To me this kinda sounds like some classic underground shit from the late 2000s and/or early 2010s. I could definitely see MF DOOM or Open Mike Eagle spitting over this beat. The song’s less than two minutes long, so you don’t really have time to get tired of it before it ends. I like it as a single, and I think it would work even better in the context of a full project, so I’m excited to see what comes out next. Check this shit out and let me know what you think in the comments below. I think it’s dope. "

"Chi-town rapper/producer/DJ DrxQuinnx is as multi-talented as they come and has worked with the likes of Detroit artist Denmark Vessey and Florida producer Azarias, Lil Kydd and more. His latest release “Gorgeous” is an insightful tune that dives into the concept of self-love. The self-produced track makes use of a smooth vocal sample and rich textures that form the perfect backdrop for his uplifting rhyme schemes about self-confidence. ”

"From the jump, really dug the dark and dusty atmosphere sewn throughout
Gooch is God & God is Everything. DrxQuinnx also brought some of his finest production to the table on this one, honestly some of my favorite beats yet from the artist. Big shoutout to the Lil Kydd features too. Probably my top release from Bit Tape Records in 2021.
Favorite tracks are ‘Chud’ and ‘Don’t Die’ at this current moment in time. Tap in with xQuinnx if you ain’t yet!”

ROLLING STONES
APRIL 27TH, 2018
"Denmark Vessey’s latest EP is fuzzy and distorted in a good way. The first half of Sun Go Nova is produced by Earl Sweatshirt and Knxwledge, who drown Vessey’s words in clipped noises and careening sampledelica, a muddy stew that hearkens back to Madlib’s early ’10s sonic junkyards. For listeners who enjoy head-nodding beats, the eerie keyboards of Sweatshirt’s “Trustfall” and “Zzzzz” are catnip. Vessey seems content to let his random life observations and mic-trading battle raps give way to the crackling, distorted sounds; save for “Sellout,” a raw session with Vic Spencer and Drxquinnx, his voice stays gloriously out of focus. The second half of the EP is essentially an instrumental beat tape where Vessey cranks out his own dirty loops, including a rehash of Wendy Rene’s Stax classic “After Laughter” on “Wax Wane Tears.”

"This album was released on March 7th this year. For those of you who don’t know, the Bullies are a trio consisting of rappers Denmark Vessey & DrxQuinnx along with Azarias on the production. I’m most familiar with Denmark Vessey. I’ve listened to two EPs from him. I’ve only ever heard one verse from DrxQuinnx, but he sounded pretty cool from what I heard. Azarias is the only one I’m completely unfamiliar with. I really have no idea how I’m gonna feel about this record. I was kinda disappointed in the latest Denmark Vessey EP that dropped earlier this year. Hopefully he put more effort into this project. If not, maybe DrxQuinnx will keep things interesting. I have zero expectations. Every song is produced by Azarias. "

"I’m sold in the production and vocals, smashed out by Chicago producer/MC Dr. Quinn and new producer, Klxck Wxrks but I’m sold, further more, on the self-edited music video super-cut of various anime clips, all flashing in a somewhat anime-associated-epilepitc-fit-educing fashion – it all makes for an experience as visually exciting as it is audible.
NVME is a track off of The Gooch, Quinn’s new EP out now on ReSERVED Records featuring Jade Ivy and Grace Cornbread BadWolff.
‘the video was inspired by my favorite animes growing up, mixed with dope hip hop, fast-paced action, and a “cult” psychedelic theme. As I was creating the video, I wanted to represent a true juxtaposition between bittersweet sound and violent imagery. This video displays the conscious message of this ‘hating’ generation, or NVME.’ – Dr. Quinn"
